to tcl anything inside [] is a command try doing:

set nick "\[MNV\]-069"

when i try to name the eggdrop something like [MNV]-069, it doesnt compile and run, it stops at that line 17 where you set the nick and all the other lines that have the [ ] in them. is there a reason it doesnt like the brackets??
