Problems with various Site bots

I'm trying to get a sitebot to work with my raidenftpd server so that I can administrate/observe its progress on IRC. I've tried a number of bots and none have completely worked. Specifically, rdsitebot and DeKuF bot often crash the eggdrop bot completely when they try to connect to the ftp. Anyone had experience with this?
