That would (probably) be an eggdrop with some kind of warbot / ladder script. There are many available (I believe there are some in the tcl archive on this site, and a quick google search will show up more). I dont know of any bot that you can hire of any company that will do much more than L or Q does.

Step 1 - you need a linux account somewhere (preferably) on which you can install and run the bot. There is a windows version of eggdrop, but obviously its harder to keep a windows machine running 24/7 and the windows eggdrop (known as windrop) is much less supported. Shell accounts can be bought for this purpose for a small amount of financial remuneration - see the list of shell providers also on this site.

Step 2 - you need to compile and set it up - there are many guides on this site on how to do that, and if you run into a problem that isnt documented, then we can help (hint : rtfm first, search the site second - nothing worse than the same question being asked time and time again). Many shell accounts come with precompiled eggdrops, so that saves a lot of hassle. You will still have to write a config script tho.

Step 3 - either locate the warbot script you want or write one, and install on the eggdrop.

Step 4 - constantly fix the bot when your users complain it doest work because they've done something daft again.

HTH

Photon
Statistics: Posted by Photon — Tue Dec 10, 2002 5:18 pm

hello, i am looking for a simple bot for my clan's irc channel...the channel is #[asf] on quakenet. i am looking for a bot that my old clan had that had these features where u could type "!addme if u can make it to tonights match" and it would add u to a list. some other stuff it did was, u would type in !q3 *ip* and it would enter the information about a particular server! your help would be greatly appreciated, and u can stop by our channel if u wish. thanks!
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Tue Dec 10, 2002 4:00 pm
