Looks like you need to install the Developement Packages
on Red Hat. The compilers etc.

Hey i get this error everytime i try to use the command ./configure. I am using red hat 8.0.Also i just installed red hat. I never installaed anything eles.

[root@localhost eggdrop1.6.13]# ./configure

This is Eggdrop's GNU configure script.
Its going to run a bunch of strange tests to hopefully make your compile work without much twiddling.

checking for gcc... no
cechking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
