If somthing is documented as such, you should consider it broken. Eggdrop has never documented per file settings, nor has it hinted at it.

Don't expect anything regarding this soon.

The 1.6 tree is used for bug fixes only, though people have decided it would be nice to add features here and there.

The 1.7 tree (so experimental, servers should be a decontamination unit before use) is an allmost total re-write (which is nowhere near completion,a nd is only designed for coders, and people who want there IRC channel taken (not true, but it may be possible)). THis is where feature sugestions should be icluded, and not in the 1.6 tree.

The eggdrop moto is "If it aint broken, why fix it".

The current log code, does it's work on mass, and does not have the ability to choose log settings per file, though this is somthing worth while sugesting for the furture.

ALternative method to get around this, include using a Tcl script to keep the single log file for you. IE, yoyu set all log files to be rotated daily, so that you get only today and yesterday.

There is a bind that can then be used to keep a copy fo the current log, before it rotates.

My question is:

Can I log from another channel,but not keep all logs? I want for the second channel log ONLY current day and yesterday, as eggdrop does by default.....

I appreciate any help...;)
