If I understand you right, your eggdrop and your irc client are running on the same machine.<br>I think I tried that a long time ago with no success (I don't think the computer will establish a direct computer connection to itself) and if I remember right it never worked.<br>But you shoud be able to use the good old telnet.<br>telnet local-IP port (the port you use in the bot.conf for "listen all".<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="https://forum.eggheads.org/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=138">Darmoth</a> — Sat Oct 05, 2002 2:59 pm</p><hr />

ok, here's the deal: When I try to connect via DCC to the bot, it times out. Both if I DCC to the bot, or make it DCC to me, still times out.<br><br>My eggdrop is running on my local computer, behind a firewall/router. My forwards are as such:<br><br>6667-&gt;My computer<br>7000-&gt;My computer<br>(I'm running an IRCd<br>113-&gt;My computer( I was told I needed this, as it was the ident server)<br><br>Even if I put my computer in the DMZ, it still won't connect.
