Is the bot behind zthe firewall too? Than try /ctcp botnick chat or just start a telnet connection to the local Ip of the machine the bot is on.
Statistics: Posted by Darmoth — Tue Oct 01, 2002 8:18 pm

Doubtful. There is only one type of DCC chat, and both xchat and mirc support it.

This sounds more like a configuration problem in other parts of the conf.

You will need to set my-ip to the internal IP of the machine (eg 192.168.1.3). You will then need to locate and set the value of nat-ip. This should be set to your external IP (that seen on the internet ont he router, or firewall machine).

AN alternative again is to use "/ctcp <botnick> chat"
Statistics: Posted by ppslim — Tue Oct 01, 2002 7:02 pm

Search for "listen" in the config file for the ports.

As for the channel key, see ".help chaninfo" and ".help chanset".
Statistics: Posted by ppslim — Tue Oct 01, 2002 3:42 pm
