The egghelp.org forum is not the place for 1.7 (yet). You should be signing up for the eggheads mailing list for this.

Heh. I've been tinkering with eggdrop since the days of 1.0p and am quite familure with it and I'm well aware that 1.7 is a development snapshot. A bit of help and a little less "you havn't got much of a clue about eggdrop" would be appreciated.

If you are posting questions here about eggdrop 1.7, then it means you havn't got much of a clue about eggdrop.

Eggdrop 1.7 is very developmental, and it hasn't even reached a Alpha stage, let alone beta or release.

If you feel you have a legitimate reason to be running a bot, that will not do anything for you, with the exception, of sitting and crashing, then feel free.

You should be using 1.6 (1.6.12 current release).

I'll probably get a whole load of "why the frick are you even trying" responses, but has anyone had any success with getting eggdrop1.7 to successfuly configure/compile on FreeBSD (I'm running 4.6-RELEASE)? I can get through the configure but on make it seems to die right here:

acconfig/ltconfig: acconfig/ltconfig: No such file or directory
configure: error: libtool configure failed
*** Error code 1

Anyone got any ideas/fixes?
