PPSLIM: THANK YOU ! When I got up today and checked the channel, the apparent timer on the kick was finished and I can access the bot again. Thanks for your quick and handy reply to my problem.
I'll remove the protectops function now. *grin*

Go to the shell, and edit the userfile.

you should look through the userfile, and find a user, with +d flags, either on a channel or globaly.

You will find that the suer matches your hsotmask. If it doesn't, ignore it, as it may be needed.

If it does match yours, simply remove the HOST line, to prvent it matching you.

Now look for the record regarding you, you should make sure it matches your hostmask.

It sounds like it does, due to the fact, you where set +d in the first place.

Once this is completed, and you have saved the file, you need to find out the bots PID number.

Type "ps x" at the shell, and read the line related to the eggdrop (if there is more htan one, use the line with the matching config file).

Once you have this pid, type the following on the shell.

kill -n 1

Replacing .

This will rehash the bot, causing it to read the changes from the userfile.

Hi. I am the owner of an eggdrop bot. I had previously put a chanset to protectops. I was online in the aformentioned channel. I got disconnected from IRC. I rejoined and my ghost was in the channel. I kicked my ghost and the bot kicked me and removed my ops. It continues to remove my ops given to me by another op. In addition, I have NO ACCESS to the bot. I can't access DCC to the bot to change anything on the bot, it won't acknowledge my existance unless I gain ops, and it deops me immediately. Any suggestions how I can fix this or is this an irrepairable mistake I made?
