restart it with the -m option again and telnet into it

how to telnet to your bot:

#1.

(1) in windows go to dos and type
" telnet localhost <3333> "
put ip in where "localhost" is if on diff cpu then the one your on..

now the "<3333>" is where you set your listen port in the "conf" file replace that with the port you have it set for "defalt is "3333"
take off the "<>" when you type it..

ex
telnet 24.68.2.2 3333
(2) linux same.. :razz:

#2. do what it said...
Telnet to the bot and enter 'NEW' as your nickname.
#3. when done type ".rehash"
then to have your fun type " .help "


if you can't see your bot do a "whois" on it
if its not there "telnet" to it and type ".stat" paste what it "sys" here plz

If ok just post back that it is plz ty

*** Easy~er~ way to do this all is to goto IRC and msg it "hello"... make shoure its going to the right server

if you give me the time go to "irc.observers.net" we can meet tomarrow in "#games"

2) there was an error saving the usefile when it did try to save (check logs or output on bot with console +o)

do these steps....

#1. go to eggdrop folder

#2.(if you did your "config" file) rename it to "eggdrop.conf"

#3.type " eggdrop -m eggdrop.conf "
(if already used -m option do it one more time to the renamed file!)
" -m " is telling the bot to make a user file
it is requierd for you to set/say "hello" to become master
#4. drop " -m eggdrop.conf " next time loading

Should work..
Try use~n~ a diff server if you cant connect
to it..

** if dont work post back **
