Officialy, Hub2 will become the master hub.

Hub2 has the major userfile. It will send it to all 10 of the bots connected to it.

Yet, Hub1 is connected. As far has Hub2 is concerned, Hub1 is just another bot it is linking and sending the userfile too.

As for Hub1, it just downloads a userfile from Hub2, and sends it one to it's clinets (the other 10 bots).

You would only use a third hub bot, that that hub1 and hub2 link to, if you have a major sized botnet under hub1 and 2.
Statistics: Posted by ppslim — Sat Aug 17, 2002 8:03 pm

so do i not need a bot3 to link the 2 hubs too?

I just link them together, so theres not 1 major hub, but several hubs linked? (If i add more in future)
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sat Aug 17, 2002 7:15 pm

To do this, you need only be concerned witht eh 2 hubs.

Call them hub1, and hub2

On hub1 type
.botattr +ghp bot2

On hub2 type
.botattr +gs

Because sharing has allready been setup for the smaller nets, sharing should work without any changed.
Statistics: Posted by ppslim — Sat Aug 17, 2002 7:08 pm

If i create a botnet with say 10 bots connected to 1 hub, then make another botnet with another 10bots on 1 hub, all sharing user files from the hub.

How would i go about linking the 2 hub bots to 1 major hub, all sharing user files.

Would i have to add every single leaf bot from both hubs to the new major hub as the userfiles would come from this bot.

Wouldnt they all try linking together then, instead of staying on 2 seperate hub bots linked on 1 bot?

cheers

ps. I hope i have made myself clear, it sounds a bit rough when i read it back
lol
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sat Aug 17, 2002 6:01 pm
