I am now quite happily able to get most ops with nicks longer that 9 chars idented correctly. The two problem ops have the nicknames mr_mrs_hooters and tempress_24ca. Both 14 characteres long and both have underlines in their nicks - though the use of underlines does not appear to cause the problem as I have two ops with nics 9 char or shorter with underlines. The message received when these two ops try to ident is the:

!*! failed IDENT xxx

message. This is driving me to distraction - any one have any ideas other than getting them to change their nicknames!

Any help much appreciated.
