I am looking for a script that will read the a chanlist and match the users file looking for flags of say hpB (been used before as flags - methinks) and voices the people found in both lists as a prelude to moderation. The reason for this is several fold - a) The bot is running in a java fronted chat room and the + suffix on nicknames causes all sorts of probs. b) Getting this type of chat room user to authenticate themselves is nigh on impossible.

matchattr will not accept a nick!!? but need something similar that will do a <match proc> <nick> <flags>. I would also need to remove the voicing whan I return the channel to normal - thoughts on how would be appreciated.

I am not looking for someone to write this just pointers in the right direction. Security on voice is of little concern to me but when moderation is required maybe only 10-20% of people in channel would be allowed to chat and I know the nicks and can place suitable flag on the eggdrop.
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Thu Jul 11, 2002 9:14 pm
