leave the unbinds as they now are and add after those:

bind msg - testing *msg:ident

I currently have ident turned off. what i would like to do is use a different "trigger" to allow my trusted ops to use the ident command.
how do i go about using say "testing" as the trigger to allow the users to activate the identing.

I was told to just unbind ident and bind venus. I got lost after i unbinded ident.

this is whats in my config now:
unbind msg - ident *msg:ident
unbind msg - addhost *msg:addhost
