Check the channels idle-kick setting

it's set to 0.

Other suggestions welcome.

I think I have to cope with thhis 'feature' till the transaction is complete, because that same behaviour doesn't happend with/between the 1.6.10 bots, only when the 1.1.5 bot has given ops and the 1.6.10 doesn't have a user record of the user. Was just wondering why it takes 10 mins to deop when there is no lag (seemed to me like a routine that takes action every 10 mins)
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sat Jul 06, 2002 2:10 am

Other than that, my last guess is to upgrade the old botnet to 1.6.x also. I'm not sure what exactly has changed since the ancient 1.1.x you are using, but something must have. As for the bot deop'ing after a delay, maybe it is having trouble communicating with the other bots and it just gives up and deops?
Statistics: Posted by tainted — Thu Jul 04, 2002 3:57 pm

Sounds like you arent sharing userfiles to start with, and what other tcls are you using?

the new botnet is sharing just fine (and it's not ment to share with the old botnet just link). All bots in the new net have the same records of users.

the aren't any tcl scripts other than botnetop.tcl and the compatibility scripts. so it shouldn't be a thing with a timer script that would do the deop routine.

There are currently 8 new bots and 5 of them do this deop stuff (and they are the ones that have the channel +bitch). So there must be something with the config that is different other than the +bitch for the channel or can it..
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Thu Jul 04, 2002 6:13 am

We are in transition to change our botnet from 1.1.5 to 1.6.10 and we have made a completely new userlist for the new bots. The problem occurs when ppl are missing from the new bots.

What I know:
-user getting deopped missing from new bots
-user gets ops from old botnet
-new bots are linked also to the old botnet
-new bots know old bots
-it takes about 10 mins and then the new bots deop the user who got ops from old bot
-and there is no lag between the bots giving ops and deopping

i simply don't figure out why the new bots deop after some time if they anyways accept the old bot opping the user

bots have +bitch so shouldn't they deop immediatly after the op by old bot if they anyways think the user shouldn't have ops...

no special scripts that would have that kinda routine applied yet.

Anyone, ideas ?
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Thu Jul 04, 2002 3:51 am
