If running netbots and eggdrop from the same directory, there should be no need to use the netupdate feature.<br><br>There is however one small reason to do so. When you have 10 bots (example number, could be more or less), 7 on one shell, running from the same dir (as in your setup), and 3 more, each on seperate shell providers (AKA, youare with 4 shell providers).<br><br>If all the bots you run are on the ssame provider, you should upload the file to the shell, and just issue a ".nethash" command, so that it takes effect on all bots.<br><br>If you use the other method above, you can setup groups on bot in the netset.tcl file. this way, you make one groups that only has 4 bots in it (using the example above). 1 from the shell with 7 bots, and each of the others. i have all my bots on my shells running from the same dir on my shells<br><br>so 4-5++ bots are using the same netbots/ dir<br><br>how will netbots script and netupdate handle this ?<br><br>have have been doing it like this for a while with success , but i'm still wondering if you (slennox) is thinking about this when u are coding the netbots and netupdate system<br><br>only problem i have come across is when bots are downloading the same files, and ocanional crashes after netupdate<br><br>any tips or trix to avoid this ?<p>Statistics: Posted by Guest — Fri Jun 14, 2002 12:42 am</p><hr />
