thx yeah it just wasnt saved yet dcc .save worked

The userlist is synchronized to disk once every hour, so the password update might have been registered in your eggdrop, yet not written to the userfile just yet.
Without the blowfish (or any other encryption module), you would not be able to start your eggdrop at all, so I doubt that's the case.

Once you've set your password, are you able to dcc chat your eggdrop?

hi having a issue ive never seen before
setting up a eggy on a new vps im not too new to eggdrop
i started ./eggdrop -m egg.conf msgd bot hello
the user file is created no prob
however when i msg bot pass mypass
is says pass is set but its not written to the user file
dunno if its blowfish or what but no pass gets written
thx for any help on this
