My suggestion? Not to tell people how or how NOT to reply. You never know when that valuable piece of information that someone WOULD'VE replied to you with may have been the answer you were looking for.

I need some suggestions on how I get this:
mv: Makefile: set owner/group (was: 1016/0): Operation not permitted

To rule out most, the user has full access rights to the folder its trying to use, there are no quotas and the hard drive still has 14 gigs on it. It works for all the other accounts on the machine, but this one keeps hitting this error.

Please only reply with suggestions not related to the ones above.
