i have managed to link them by having the hub connect to the leaf instead of waiting for the leaf to connect to the hub- weird- also i have both bots set for 4 channels total, 3 by using .+chan command and 1 that is in the config file. The bots join the 3 from +chan, but the channel in the config file: only 1 bot will join it (whichever joins first, the other can't join for some reason??) Why? heh - Thanks- Jeff
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Tue May 28, 2002 5:51 am

Ok, i simply want to run two bots off my box and have them on different servers. So i did all the permissions correctly, +gs for the leaf and +gph for the hub. I did both loadmodules...in my .conf file there is "listen 333 all" for the listen port. I set the address of the hub bot to be myboxhostname:3333 and the bots do not link.

Telnet connection: myhost.com/4094
Timeout/EOF ident connection
Refused myhost.com (invalid handle: botsname Lost Bot: botsname)

Why do i keep getting this error? Both boths .conf files also have +shared set for the channel they are set on...

Jeff
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Tue May 28, 2002 5:36 am
