away status check

Hi, i wonder if anybody has a clue on how to write a simple script that would check if the bot owner is away and notify to people asking for him in channel.

I found the full automated away script, but i'd prefer not to send tons of whois, but rather enable this thing only just for the owner, or some predefined nicks on the bot userlist.
