I ran a nmap -O on it, heres the interesting output.

Remote operating system guess: Linux Kernel 2.4.0 - 2.4.17 (X86)
Uptime 459.540 days (since Fri Feb 16 11:40:15 2001)

But I really dont care if u dont believe me, its kinda like only a bot we're talking about... The reason I asked the question was that I got the latest source and saw the uptime thingie and was curious if I could get on the list... Im not trying to get ppl to think Im Mr.Cool just because I have high uptime.. Its a record for me so far.. If u cant setup a server that easily runs for 300+ days u should not call urself an admin..

For the records, I have no idea of how to fake my uptime, or what the eggy reports about CPU time. I am not a coder, only a adminuser...

HMM - guess I am wrong, but that means that my bot only uses .002687 seconds of CPU every hour, which is wrong.

My bot has to issue withint he region of 70000 MySQL transations each day, with %30 of them requireing a new connection each time. It also does HTTP queries, so the bot is not laziest thing int he world. ( I was amazed it had such a high uptime, for the work it did)

I don't quite think this figure is possible, on this load

Ppslim, the CPU time the bot has used so far is stated in minutes and seconds, not hours and minutes

Running on Linux 2.4.0
Admin: mailman
Online for 456 days, 02:37 (background) CPU 16260:18 cache hit 42.2%)

Besides this being a fake uptime, there is no way to get onto the board as sugested.

And yes, I do know it's fake, all by the application of simple math.

In the status message, the bot will post it's uptime in days, hours and mins. It also posts how many hours and mins of CPU it has taken up in that time.

So lets convert both values into mins, so they can be compared.

((days * 24) * 60) + (hours * 60) + mins = uptime
(CPUhours * 60) + CPUmins = CPUtime

uptime = 669757 mins
CPUtime = 975618 Mins

this is the equivilant of 1 hour, 28 mins and 8 seconds of CPU time, used for every hour of uptime, which is clearly impossible.

Should any1 prove to me otherwise, I would like to see the math.

You would have to kill the bot to get on the uptime list anyway.. limit is 9 days.

I got a eggdrop v1.6.2+bindsfix and would love to get on the uptimes list.. is it possible to compile the "new" uptime module and load it? Im not wondering about how to do it but rather if it will work..it's been up now for 456 days and Im not to keen on experimenting with it in case of a segfault or whatever
