Occaisionally !news and similar searches returned headline and url - or page titles and urls - and there would be tags(?) like href in amongst the info. I don't know html and these 'tags' or 'extraneous code' seemed to be a new phenomenon in the normal result format and when gconvert stopped working I suspected that google had changed something and the appearance of these tags was a symptom so I got on to you here. Thanks for fixing it. Bible wiki has a redirect now btw.
Statistics: Posted by shadrach — Tue Aug 11, 2009 2:26 pm

Getting some extraneous 'code' in some results and gconvert returning: Found calculator template but cannot parse within.

Without knowing what "extraneous 'code'" actually is, there isn't really much I can do except make a Hmmm sound. Try the newer version I've recently posted (1.9.9m) this may or may not solve the situation. If you still experience some sort of issue, post about it within the thread dedicated to the unofficial google script.

Now about the gconvert script. That one should now work as well (new 4.0 version posted), but possibly with the same limitations that unofficial google script has. That being because they are so closely related any issues either suffers is inherited from the other. Consider them identical twin sisters, so any ailment the other may come down with eventually the other will as well. If you still have problems with gconvert, please post them within the gconvert thread.

Most important, this is all done in an effort so irc is fun. So have a fun
Statistics: Posted by speechles — Sat Aug 08, 2009 3:24 pm
