If you look in your eggdrop.conf file, you'll find a line similar to "logfile jpk #channel logs/channel.log" which is what you need to log events on a channel.

There are quiet a few good RSS scripts in the Tcl Archive.

Read http://www.egghelp.org/setup.htm to know more about eggdrop's configurations (including logfile) and http://www.egghelp.org/enhance.htm to learn how to use Tcl scripts.

Good luck.
Statistics: Posted by Sir_Fz — Thu Apr 02, 2009 4:15 am

Hello,

As a newbie, I need to set up Eggdrop to

log conversations in two or three channels

pull in RSS feeds and have them posted to the channel(s) - ideally with some simple keyword filtering

Unfortunately, after installing Eggdrop (simple on the Ubuntu box), I don't know how to proceed. (I did RTFM, but am not an expert on this sort of thing... )

Is there perhaps a minimalistic sample config to get me started, serving as the basis for further exploration and tweaking?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Statistics: Posted by anotheregglover — Fri Mar 20, 2009 7:12 am
