Good suggestion. Although i have always hated the original as it's untidy. I will add a download link to the original sample config on the site though.

IMO, it would be better if the generated config includes all comments like the original configuration file.

I'm not sure if any of you have actually used one of these... it makes a huge difference when you want to get your Eggdrop up and running quickly!

I wrote a config generator years ago for EggInfo.org and recently decided to create a new one.

For those of you who want to generate a config file for your eggdrop in 1 minute or less, check out my new generator here:

I am also working on 2 variations of the script. One for newbies (a step-by-step generator that explains every field) and an advanced generator (offers more config options).
