If you want to get more clues, try watching the bot console from a telnet window while you initiate the dcc chat. Make sure you have debugging turned on so you can see more detail about what's happening.

it seems there's no problem to dcc chat with mirc 6.01, maybe i have to search in BitchX related sites.
