Download the source and compile yourself.

Pre-compiled eggdrop is always a drama because the system they are compiled on never match exactly what your system has.

Hi I want to use the a&a precompiled bot that uses eggdrop 1.6.17.
When i want to start the bot I get this error:

[egg@IMI eggdrop]$ ./eggdrop bot1.conf -m./eggdrop: error while loading shared libraries: libtcl8.4.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory[egg@IMI eggdrop]$

In /usr/lib/ - the is libtcl8.3.so (not 8.4)

I found the libtcl8.4.so.0 here: /usr/local/lib
Then I enterd the "/usr/local/lib" path to /etc/ld.so.conf and run ldconfig.
But still the same error.
I don't know what else to do, help pls.
