Are you using the default 3333 port for linking? assuming your running it from a shell, the port is most likely in use so try a different one. If you run it off your own box, are alot of other connections in use? it might be all sockets are in use.

_________________
Heavy rotated.

[ This Message was edited by: nitroboost on 2002-04-21 18:07 ]
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sun Apr 21, 2002 8:06 pm

I´ve got one more problem. When I link one leaf bot to one hub bot everything works fine. But if I link more than one leaf bot to hub bot all bots fall down from IRC.When I try to link the second leaf bot to the hub bot it says:Can´t open socket at all and the they all fall down from IRC and I can´t start them again, I have to kill bots in the shell and delete all log files and then start the .conf files again.

What could be wrong?

Thnx
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sat Apr 20, 2002 9:48 am

Hi

On how to link bots and make them share userfiles, read doc/BOTNET (comes with your eggdrop) and a tutorial on this site.

As for them opping each other, use a script, autoop is very insecure, like getops.tcl or botnetop (comes with netbots, which are available on this site too).

Statistics: Posted by masskilla — Wed Apr 17, 2002 4:03 pm
