NOTHING I HAVE SAID SHOULD BE TAKEN IN ANY WAY TO IMPLY ANY INABILITY OF DRAGONLORD TO WRITE WEATHER SCRIPTS.
Statistics: Posted by rainbowactivist — Sun Feb 03, 2008 2:13 pm

I misspoke. The script is not broken. Rather, the website whose HTML the script parses has changed. I was just using the shorthand phrase "broken script" to indicate a script that needs to be modified or replaced. One possibility is to start with DragonLrd's script, if he/she doesn't mind.
Statistics: Posted by rainbowactivist — Sun Feb 03, 2008 1:49 am

I have been asked to fix a broken wunderground bot script. I think it would help me to read a few scripts. I see the script archive and search for "weather." If I find a script I am interested in, what environment can I use to experiment with the script - I don't want my mistakes to affect the operation of a "live" channel.
Statistics: Posted by rainbowactivist — Sun Feb 03, 2008 12:49 am
