Actually, stats.mod does this quite well. Plus it keeps track of tons of other stuff you might care about.

<speechles> !stat speechles
<teh_bot> speechles: 80773 letters, 11741 words, 2678 lines, 4.38 words/line, 34 actions, 7 smilies, 70.71 idle-factor, time wasted: 1 year 18 weeks 5 days 12 hours .

Statistics: Posted by speechles — Thu Jan 03, 2008 5:58 pm

I need a script that keeps a track of how long a nickname has idled in a channel, and you can recall how long by doing a command like !idle and it will show how long that user has idled in the channel. Also it would be helpful if it was possible to link multiple nicknames so if someone changes their nick and does !idle, it will show the idle time even on a different nickname. Maybe by keeping track of the user and hostname? Some people have dynamic IPs so maybe just the end part of the hostname. Like *!~username@*.end.of.hostname or something.
Statistics: Posted by emokid — Thu Jan 03, 2008 11:48 am
