well gcc i a C compiler, and if you did not choose de include developpement tools during your install the configure messages are normal. You need to install gcc, there must be a package named gcc-something on your mandrake cd, try to install that.<br><br>TCL is a programming language, but it is interpreted, as opposed to C, C++, whatever other compiled languages. when i try to install an eggdrop<br>i get to ./configure then its stops .. <br>error:<br><br>checking for gcc .. no<br>checking for cc  .. no<br>checking for cc  .. no<br>checking for cl  .. no<br>configure: error: no acceptable cc found for $PATH<br><br>iam using mandrake 8.1 <br>when i used redhat its worked very vell :/<br><br>and noob question what is TCL for ?<br>i cant get it to work or some thing  <img class="smilies" src="https://forum.eggheads.org/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":smile:" title="Smile"><p>Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sun Apr 14, 2002 1:06 pm</p><hr />
