well you know, i think it has something to do with mIRC. im using mirc on my windows machine, but i cant connect with it to the bot. however, I installed Xchat (win version) and i dont have a problem connecting. so it prolly has something to do with how mirc sends its dcc's and ctcp's.... i did find some settings in the config file that should solve the problem, but they didnt.... im using xchat to dcc my bot for now. i do hope to find a solution. it should work some way. thx for the replies though.... any further help is apreciated...<br><br>greetz, birkoff<p>Statistics: Posted by Guest — Wed Apr 17, 2002 8:34 pm</p><hr />

Add *!*@yourhostmask<br>I'm assuming you know about static and dynamic IPs, but if your static just throw your whole hostmask in there, if your dynamic do *!*@*.chello.nl  for exmaple. Hi,<br><br>some details:<br>eggdrop 1.6.10 using complete.conf<br>linux 2.4.18<br>connected to: Quakenet<br><br>problem: i cant dcc chat with the bot from another location except the machine its running on.<br><br>/dcc chat &lt;botnick&gt; doesnt work... keeps waiting for acknowledgement forever.<br><br>/ctcp &lt;botnick&gt; chat work, but session is immediately closed.<br><br>eggdrop gives the following error:<br>[11:33] Telnet connection: *.chello.nl/61756<br>[11:33] Timeout/EOF ident connection<br>[11:33] Denied telnet: telnet@*.chello.nl, No Access<br><br>i added the telnet hostmask to my userdetails, but that didnt help. ive also been experminting with all kinds of settings in the config file<br><br>does anyone have a solution for this problem...?<br><br>thanks, greetz, birkoff<p>Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sun Apr 14, 2002 9:37 am</p><hr />
