i was under the impression that EnglishExpress wished to see the public chat in a private channel via the partyline.  If so, this is a console issue, and has nothing to do with <strong class="text-strong">.status</strong>. if your bot is in the room, it doesnt make any difference if the room is private or secret or whatnot.  You can use the <strong class="text-strong">console</strong> command to see any amount of information you want.
