No rule against windrop per se. Nothing wrong with suggesting other, possibly more appropriate resources, but the thread should not be locked.

No topic gets closed, but mine. Egghelp.org is about eggdrop, but in past it was tolerated to ask about windrop in this forum too. In this even the moderator who closed my thread is helping someone else with windrop and posts more then one time. Or search the forum, search topic only, search for windrop.

If no one knows an answer for my thread it`s my problem. But you can just let it stay open and don`t close it? Neither the forum rules say no windrop...
