Totally appreciate this is a very old thread. All results for google search are returning derp for me, since about a week ago. Wondering if anyone has found a solution or alternative script.

You get that error cos while the state array is created it doesn't have the charset element, thus the error.

I looked at speechles's last version and the information regarding the error you guys get is too little to point the root of the problem, so do a .set $errorInfo in DCC Chat/Telnet with the bot if you got the .set command active.

Hello,
if you don't noticed, some google search scripts stop working - "The Google Web Search API is no longer available. Please migrate to the Google Custom Search API (https://developers.google.com/custom-search/)".

At this script !google command still works, but with errors:

[2016:05:09][20:52:22] !google scooter 4am
[2016:05:09][20:52:26] http://img.youtube.com/vi/-q6eLTuEeGc/s ... =555&sigh= @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-q6eLTuEeGc

It's don't show description (title) at youtube search result. O found only one with good title..:

[2016:05:09][20:53:14] !google roma pafos wait for a second
[2016:05:09][20:53:16] Roma Pafos feat. Sunblind - For A Second (Official Music Video ... @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTylpEkuRiU

And I want that all youtube results be with good title, now all results with wrong title except one, you can try, and you get all with wrong title..

So maybe someone need new youtube script and can change same code that it works fine with youtube results titles..? Or maybe someone can watch at code and know what it need change and can share with us?

Wikipedia now uses https and the url in the script needs to be changed accordingly for !wiki to work for any other noobs like me who wondered why there was an error message response to a query.

Still no updates? DOA?

Script is hardly "Dead on Arrival." It was released a few years back working and continues to work to this day. Any future updates might not show up in the header or even be announced as speechless mentioned a page back. Just grab the latest version and compare it to the one you already have to see any changes made

I really like this script and was wondering if some of the issues with it might be fixed. I can list some issues I'm having on my end if it would help. Thanks in advance for any updated news on the development of it.

btw, i feel difficult to looking for answer because so many people reply to this thread, one question not yet solved and it's bump with other question
