you dont say what chat client you are using but have you pointed the router port to the bot or to the irc client? Also you may have to set the port in the client (or range of ports).
Also check your bots config file especially this part:-

Code:

# my-hostname settings. You may still need to set my-ip and/or my-hostname.#set nat-ip "127.0.0.1"

Statistics: Posted by Callisto — Fri Apr 06, 2007 4:06 pm

Ok, im running my bot from my home linux machine and im running another bot from a shell account, problem is i cant see to figure out why i cant DCC chat with my home bot. When i request a DCC chat it does nothing, could it be my router? i have the telnet port set to 4141 so i can easily telnet in, i just dont want to use it. I even opened the port 4141 from my router, and still i cant connect to it. I want to use my DCC client from my irc chat. Any suggestions?
Statistics: Posted by dellthinker — Fri Apr 06, 2007 3:09 pm
