have you tried changing handles?
telnet to bot
type .channel #yourchannel
if owner has different handle that your current nick type .chhandle yourcurrentnick

then try ident

you can change the handle back if you want

try getting your IP/mask from your house, then when your at work do this

telnet localhost

replace <> with the port you put in your ".conf" file

.+host

mine worked with

.+host *!Games.Textbox.net
That should work

The thin' is that. i'm running an eggdrop on a linux machine i have at work. this machine is only accessible from the other computers i have at work and i've set myself as a founder and set the password 4 the bot and all, and everything is good while i'm at work. the problem is when i get back home, i can't use the bot. it doesn't accept my Dcc chats and it won't return a notice when i'm /msg botnick ident password. can i add another ip 2 my user on the bot (while i'm on this other ip?)
