Check if you have some script that might be causing this lag (Unload all scripts and see if the bot still lags). Also, it might be a problem from your provider or the IRC server (tried changing servers?).

Eggdrop works just fine but once in a while it's ping increases and delay is 5-10 minutes. I started eggdrop in -n mode and noticed that everytime when, for example,
[17:00] %#channel (+trn) : [m/9 o/1 h/1 v/0 n/7 b/0 e/0 I/0]
appears the delay increases.

Any help?
