its much easier than that. To start just use su -c (run as appropriate user) and to stop, just use kill -15 (sigterm),

It is possible, you will need to create a php class to connect to the eggdrops partyline, then execute the commands through the php class.

Or you can create a php class to connect to the eggdrops shell, and use the kill and ./eggdrop etc ... as you cant connect to the eggdrops partyline to start it back up...

Is it possible to shutdown and start a eggdrop with php?
and a contrab, if it is how is the best way to do it ?
