demo version

use the demo version its much stable
dont enable team trivia
copy the vowel hint code from the full version
im using the demo version for over a year now
i always tried to make the full version works but it always crashed
in the demo version just delete ? " in your question files
and 1 thing the trivia only works 12 - 14 hrs so you just have to reboot the bot evry nite

basically, you have 3 options: 1) contact the author, 2) post the script and hope someone would bother to debug it or 3) learn tcl and fix it yourself

I'd guess none of these is particularly appealing to you

There's a fourth option! Get rid of the thing and use a bug free script (free) from a source that continues to maintain their script(s).

Well it happened again last night --- so I guess it's just a buggy script and we will have to wait for the next version to be released.

Hiya, thanks for your reply. I have mailed the server and they say, at present, there is an openfile limit of 1024 but they will increase it to 8192 for us

Heres hoping this may help

You may be running into a problem caused by the openfiles limit in /etc/login.conf.
From your shell prompt, use 'limits' to check 'openfiles'.

This is another tcl error we got today:

I think this is all a bit beyond me

I tried it and it crashed the bot. There were actually 5 brace in the script so I put it after the 5th. Was that right?

When it crashed it told of an error in Fulltriviabot65 and said it couldnt find config file so I had to replace the original and all was well (until the next time! lol)

Sometimes your shell might be having problems from outer programs that may cause applications not to be able to open files anymore (like what's happening with your eggdrop). If that's the case, you may want to contact your shell admin, otherwise use another script.

One thing you can try is this:

ok another error message today and bot crashed:

lol, well we have contacted the owner, twice, but to no avail. As to posting the script, we are still not over sure which file these timers can be found in and this should give you the answer to the last option of correcting it ourselves lol

I have to admit eggdrop is one complicated bot!!!!
