Thanks that helped get my "limbo bot" running and it looks happy. I tried setting up the hub using the same settings /instructions as my when I set up my irc hub bots. But the irc bots will not link to the limbo bot. there is no error message (other than Failed link to limbobot) and the limbo bot don’t even see the link request. Any Ideas?
Is there a limbo bot how-to txt? I have found very little info on non-irc bots on the www and other shell help forums.

Thanks again,

Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sat Mar 02, 2002 6:01 pm

No, no, and no. botnet-nick is the bot's 'handle' on the botnet. nick is the bot's irc nick; if botnet-nick is not set, it defaults to nick.

You need the channels module for the hub to pass channel records. If the hub doen't use sharing, then you don't need it.
Statistics: Posted by Wcc — Sat Mar 02, 2002 4:18 pm

I am setting up a "limbo" non-irc bot and followed all the directions on the help files on this web site. The only tcl loaded is netbots with no other tcls activated on eggdrop 1.6.8. A few questions:
1 Is botnet-nick the same setting as set nick(in the config file)
2. Can I remove the channel module? or do I still need it?
3. Can I remove all the channel settings in my config file to include chanset settings and the global settings?

Thanks
Life
Statistics: Posted by Guest — Sat Mar 02, 2002 2:48 pm
