So telnet the bot to see whats up. "DNS lookup failed" when trying to connect to IRC servers.<br><br>A quick look into the windrop faq told me that i have to to disable the dns module.<br>loadmodule dns<br>to<br>#loadmodule dns<br>Done that. Bot connecting fast. Works until now without problems. The command dnslookup works aswell too.<br><br>Maybe i write a windrop compiling guide. I really do not understand what you have done (or not done) but in my previous post I said there is no need to "uninstall" tcl/tk, you simply just download the tarball, copy it to the root folder (all done whilst in the cygwin shell) and simply untar it; it will put itself into the proper location(s) and overwrite whatever is already there.<br><br>To get to your root folder within the cygwin shell you simply type: cd /<br><br>You can download the appropriate tcl tarball from <a href="http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/windrop/" class="postlink">here</a>.<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="https://forum.eggheads.org/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=3646">Alchera</a> — Sun Mar 19, 2006 10:32 pm</p><hr />

You are so right! <br>This doesn`t make sense.<br><br>I didn`t know that cygwin will install a copy of tcl.<br>Finnaly i got you what you want me to do. :/<br><br>How to i uninstall tcl from cygwin? In setup, which part is it? Admin, Archive, Audio, ..... You need to install a little more than the four listed; minires &amp; mingw-runtime being just two to ensure proper compilation of the dns module.<br><br>Anyway, you do not delete any tcl/tk folders. Normally i don`t act like i was born yesterday. I click<br>unlock 'Hide obsolte and administative packages'<br>All --&gt; install<br>lock 'Install thease packages to meet dependencies (RECOMMENDED)<br>--&gt;<br>As long i know this will install all packages; about 1GB but i have a big harddisk and don`t really care much about; the wanted packages should be included then?<br><br>'Make sure the default Tcl version include with Cygwin isn't installed.'<br>Yes, I have<br>actice tcl 8.4.12.0 and<br>tcl dev kit 3.2<br>installed.<br>--&gt;<br>System controll --&gt; software --&gt; uninstall --&gt; i remove it there and delete the tcl dir from my harddisk? = uninstalled?<br>Or is it enugh if i have tcl not started since last reboot? I believe the problem is that you installed Tcl.  It's critical that you follow the instructions to the word. Ok, i want to try Cygwin DLL 1.5.12.<br><br>I just need to install 'Latest Cygwin DLL release version is 1.5.19-4' from <a href="http://cygwin.com/" class="postlink">http://cygwin.com/</a> and exchange the dll to your version?<br><br>Or do i need to install the hole old version?<br><br>Where can i get the old version.
