I fixed it... i just change in the bot config file.. the nat-ip and then it worked...

reading the mirc manual would be a start, but that isnt the problem. as i said in my initial answer, the bot is returning an unroutable ip. bind your bot to a routable ip instead of localhost.

127.0.0.1 = Localhost

I am wondering if that is the problem, and its not resolving your hostname correctly?

I had a problem getting my DCC to work, copy the mirc.exe file to a new directory, and run it. It will create a new mirc.ini file, and sometimes fixes the problem (well mine it did).

Oopps.. you said that CTCP didn't work either! I'd say it was a firewall prob for sure.. something i'm not clued up on! I don't know what client your on, but check you haven't done something simple, like ignore all DCC Chats.

I have my ident right.. I can get op , ident myself.. but I cant chat..
hmm, then it must be something with the firewall..... hmm... but my linux comp just shares the internet.....?..

I'd check the user@host, although the firewall is possible too. Check your identd on linux, and set it as the same in Windoze (if you have a spoofing identd server, e.g. mIRC). If not, try /msg IDENT

/ctcp bot chat is either failing due to a user@host error (maybe you haven't got your identd running when you do it?), or a routing issue (ie, bot giving you a unroutable (lan) ip to connect to). /dcc chat bot is either not working due to a user@host mismatch (which i doubt as it responds to ctcp chat), or mirc is giving the bot an unroutable ip, or you've got a firewall blocking ya dcc portrange (default 1024-5000 in mirc)

Hi, when I try to dcc chat with my bots it says "Unable to connect" (/ctcp bot chat)
and when i go /dcc chat bot it just stands on "Waiting for acknowledgement..." and nothing happens... i cant dcc chat (from my win comp, but from my linux comp I can)
and no one else can dcc chat....

does anyone know how to fix it?
