adding date to subject in mail.

hello,
am not quite sure that this is where am supposed to ask this question, but i will anyway ...
i want to add a cron job to send me an email containing the log, the thing that i want to know, is how to tag the subject with the date

30 5 * * * mail your@email.address.com -s logs of [DATE HERE] < /home/username/botdir/botlog.log.yesterday
