mySQL has nothing to do with PHP, Apache, etc.

to access mySQL database from eggdrop, you need either mySQL module or mysqltcl extension

My bot is up and running very smooth till now.
What i would like is to start making a database with Mysql, linked to my eggdrop (version 1.6.15)

But,
Do i need any other programs installed on my linux computer?
Since i have just Redhad9.0 installed right now and eggdrop and some tcl scripts.

Should i install PHP? Apache?
If yes, is this very specific? (i.e. language, version,...?)

If someone can help me to put me in right way, or to provide me a good website that explains me how to setup a mysql database (starting from 0), i would appreciate ! :)

I'm a real newbie in linux and mysql and i'm prepared to learn now mysql.
Is mysqltcl also helpfull to work with mysql?
